Ceramics II will expose students advanced ceramic techniques building on Ceramics I. It is designed to allow students to master different aspects of hand building, throwing, and various finishing processes. Emphasis will be placed on advanced craftsmanship, design, production, and working in a community of ceramics students. A unit on sculpture will also be included. More advanced forms will be explored and there will be an increased emphasis placed on idea and concept development. Idea sketches will be required for all projects.
